Something HUGE is going on at Nashville Zoo

June 17, 2014

Fifteen full-size robotic dinosaurs living in the mysterious forest at Nashville Zoo. roar to life—and help visitors understand how these behemoths are related to the zoo’s animal and plant species.

Dinosaurs at a zoo? Animatronics alongside our favorite furry (and scaly and feathered) friends?

Recognizing the universal appeal of dinosaurs, Nashville Zoo jumped at the chance to feature DinoTrek*, an exhibit of 15 full-size dinosaur robotics. Nestling the dinosaurs amongst zoo landscaping intensified the visitor experience. The zoo provided an Activity Guide that helped visitors connect the relationship between the dinosaurs and the zoo’s animal and plant collection.

Gecko Group worked with Nashville Zoo to develop interpretive graphics that complemented the exhibit aesthetics while providing details about the dinosaur species and origins. In vivid hues and strategically located in the surrounding landscaping, the interpretive signage enhanced the exhibit through visual impact and enriching content.

We’d like to help you make a BIG impact with your exhibits. Contact us to discuss your next project.
